Event Portfolio Showcase
Ever since I stepped foot into the Windy City in 2011 to start my career, my only goal was to deliver the best and learn from the rest. I've been fortunate enough to have my hands in over 200+ events since then, scaling a large range of activations - everything from action sports spectacles to music festival stages. I even helped a team of 500+ drop Felix Baumgartner from space in 2012 and helped produce the first facebook livestream from Antarctica. Below are just a few samples of what I'm proud to have accomplished in my career.
RED BULL CRASHED ICE - 2012-2016
As the communications project lead for the US for Red Bull Crashed Ice, I earned nearly half a billion media impressions over the course of my time at Red Bull. I managed all communications and PR for 5 stops in the US over 5 years, co-managed our team USA athletes (17 strong by the 2016 season) that included organizing their press appearances, travel schedules and TV/Film schedules. I annually hosted 200+ members of the media during the Saint Paul stop, and managed a project team of 15-20 strong including a PR firm, production assistants and managers, digital and social media communication experts, photographers and videographers, live show event teams and hospitality specialists.
RED BULL STRATOS - 2012
The purpose of the Red Bull Stratos mission is to transcend human limits. Supported by a team of experts Felix Baumgartner ascended to 128,100 feet in a stratospheric balloon and made a freefall jump rushing toward earth at supersonic speeds before parachuting to the ground. His successful feat on Oct. 14, 2012 holds the potential to provide valuable medical and scientific research data for future pioneers.
My role at Red Bull Stratos was on the global PR team. I managed and coordinated 9 broadcast partners on site in Roswell, including CNN, ABC, CBS, Globo, Azteca and more. In addition to managing our partners media requests for interviews and footage, I also coordinated our daily press conferences with the Red Bull Stratos mission team, co-managed our on site media center and assisted our content production teams with post-production transcription.
RED BULL RAMPAGE - 2013-2016
As the Communications team lead for Red Bull's most prestigious action sports event, I was in charge of a team of 40+ members ranging from PR team members to livestream engineers, photographers and producers. We produced a 4 hour livestream, 2 hour TV program for NBC and 40+ pieces of web content supporting the online freeride mountain bike community. I forged partnerships with PinkBike, Bike Mag and Decline, hosted 40+ outlets in remote Virgin, UT, handled crisis management for injuries and weather delays and oversaw a large 6 figure budget for the event.
